Well its six weeks yesterday since my maze at OSU in Columbus Ohio was performed by David Brown. I remain in normal sinus rhythm; I am medication free and feeling better every day. I returned to work two weeks ago and as a middle manager in an aerospace company I plunged into a world of budget cuts and major staff reductions. In spite of the stress – my new life – to quote Carl – has allowed my to take it in stride and today I was offered a new job. Prior to the maze I would have been completely overwhelmed. As for stats I can now jog indefinitely at 5.5 mph and my weight lifting is at about 60% of pre-maze levels. I expect to be back in pre-maze shape in another month and in pre-afib shape in a few months.
