Six Weeks After The Maze Operation

Hi Friends:

It has been 6 weeks now after my Maze operation. My recovery is going along fine. The good news is that I am still in NSR since operation and my Chest wounds is healing nicely. I only feel slight pain if I cough or sneeze. I take one asprin a day and no Coumadin medication since operation... thank God for that .

The bad news is my heat rate at rest is still above 100 beat per minute and, therfore, I am still taking small doze of beta blocker. I am still feel tired after my routeen daily 1/2 an hour walk. But, I feel better day by day.

I am looking forward to the day my hear beat at rest go back normal (60-80 bpm) and becoming fit again, but I am optimistic that it is only a matter of time.
