Hallo Angie,
I am a woman 55 years old from Sweden and I had my MAZE 29/11 2000. I also put in a pacemaker 2 weeks after. It took about 3 months to heal the chestbone and I feel relatively OK. It is exactly 4 months since then and I must say I have felt much better the last two weeks. The time after the op was full of mixed feelings. It started out quite well, but I have had some setbacks. I have been feeling very depressed and I cried a lot in dec. and jan.Life slowly came back in feb. but I think it has taken a long time, though others tell me I am impatient, it takes a long time. Due to weatherconditions here in Sweden, it was too cold to go out so I started my rehab quite late.
Angie, if there are any question you want to ask, feel free to do so. I think it is easier for you to do so in order to find out what you really want to know. (Pls excuse my bad spelling)

Best regards
Kicki Markenberg/Lidingö/Sweden
